George Zimmerman shot in Florida confrontation

News outlets in Florida reported that George Zimmerman had been shot while in his car Monday.

WTFV.com said Zimmerman, who was acquitted two years ago in the shooting of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, had been involved in a road-rage incident.

The injuries were described as minor.

Lake Mary Police Officer Bianca Gillett said Matthew Apperson called 911 to report the shooting. He and Zimmerman also were involved in a similar clash last year.
