PHOENIX — Entrance fees and camping permits are going to cost more at Grand Canyon National Park starting next month.
Park officials announced Wednesday in a release that entry fee per car will jump to $30 for a weeklong pass, an increase of $5.
Overnight camping permits for the backcountry will remain $10 but an $8 per person nightly charge has been added.
Money from the fees will go toward maintenance and repairs to facilities and park programs, among others.
The change goes into effect June 1.
