GILBERT, Ariz. — Thanks to a Valley woman, moms can find fun things to do with their children.
“I started Active Moms magazine 13 years ago because I was looking for a guide to do fun things with my son,” publisher Katrina Sherk said.
The magazine features nearly a thousand events, with an emphasis on fun and educational things to do with your kids.
“One of the great things that Active Moms provides is an opportunity for families to start traditions,” Sherk said.
There is also information on farmer’s markets, free outdoor concerts and out-of-town trips.
Active Moms is a free monthly that started with only 500 copies. Circulation has grown to 10,000.
