We spend our whole lives looking for pure happiness, usually to find that it was right before our eyes the whole time.
The report, which is conducted by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, looked at 158 different countries from 2012 to 2014 and examined various lifestyle measurements, including freedom to make life choices, social support and healthy life expectancy at birth.
It should come with no surprise that the happiest countries in the world also happen to be well-known for their delicious food and beautiful scenery. Although the U.S. wasn’t included in the top 10, we did rank No. 15 in the report.
