Construction at Sky Harbor beginning Monday could impact motorists

PHOENIX — Drivers beware: A monthlong construction effort will begin Monday at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport which could impact drivers until June 4.
Starting at 12:01 a.m., the inner lanes on the north side of Terminal 3 will be closed as a part of the airport’s terminal modernizationm. For the next month, drivers are advised to follow these tips:
• Use the 44th Street and Washington Sky Train Station for pickup and dropoff. The 44th Street Station offers a quick ride for free from Sky Train to Terminal 3. Drivers can wait for their party in the free cellphone lot adjacent to the station.
• If you do plan to pick up or drop off passengers at the Terminal 3 curb, use the cellphone lots to avoid circling the terminal.
• The northbound outer lanes of Terminal 3 can be used for passenger pickup and dropoff and the inner lanes on the south side of the terminal will remain open.
• All ground transportation will be available at the south curb but taxis will only be available on the south curb.
