This is the story that YOU wanted to hear us talk about! It received 47 percent of the vote in our Radioactive poll!

While there are plenty of reasons to dread Tax Day, April 15, there are also many upsides to it as well.

Pull yourself out of the “Tax Day blues” with these strange, yet totally legitimate, tax deductions, according to USA Today.

Clarinet players — with overbites?

Thanks to a tax provision signed into law in 1962, any parent who is using clarinet lessons to correct their child’s overbite can claim those lessons as a deductible.

Puppies, kitties and other household pets

While moving expenses are cost-deductible, so are the expenses from moving a pet.

Even criminals get lucky on tax day

Although criminals are required to pay taxes, they may be able to use their legal fees as a write-off. Score!

For those who are “well-endowed”

Exotic dancer Cynthia Hess, also known as “Chesty Love,” was able to use her 1988 breast augmentation to claim a $2,088 deduction after it was declared a “legitimate business expense.”

Another reason to get a swimming pool

With summer right around the corner, the weather won’t be the only reason you’re thankful for your pool. For those with a medical condition that requires a pool, it may qualify as a tax reduction.

Lovers of body oil, rejoice!

Bodybuilder Corey L. Wheir was able to write-off his body oil purchases after he argued that he used them during his competitions.

Hitting the gym won’t take a hit to your wallet

If your doctor states that your health is in jeopardy due to your physical condition, you may be able to deduct any health-related costs. For those who are trying to quit smoking, any patches or cessation programs could be used as write-offs as well.
