US launches gruesome anti-distracted driving ads

It’s something you see every day on Arizona highways: A driver too wrapped up in their text message to keep their eyes on the road.
While we all know that squeezing in that last smiley face to our bestie is dangerous while driving, a majority of us do it. After all, texting is meant to be an instant form of communication. What could possibly happen in five seconds?
That’s the focus of a new, brutal ad campaign. It begins with a car full of friends having a good time while the driver shoots off a few texts. It’s all fun.
Then she runs a stop sign. The rest is hard to watch.
