April Fools’ Day provides companies with extra publicty

April Fools’ Day continues to slap the world silly with pranks.

It’s the one day where people from just about every walk of life try to pull off the perfect prank on family members, friends, co-workers and any other gullible victims they can get their hands on.

Even big name companies get into the act.

Monday, Google released its smell search, Twitter said it would charged $5 a vowel, while Scope presented its bacon-flavored mouth wash.

The stunts are just another way for companies to get a little extra free publicity during the year.
