Have you heard about the international figures who deny the existence of the Holocaust?
There really are people who believe the concentration camps, the atrocities, the extermination of over six million human beings was a fabrication. There are also many who don’t doubt it happened, but wonder why it continues to be an important topic for discussion, especially among Jews. After all, WWII ended nearly 70 years ago.
The answer, of course, is that we continue to remember so we don’t forget. It’s said that once history is forgotten, it’s bound to be repeated. And those who remember the Holocaust most vividly are those who lived it and survived, like Oskar Knoblauch.
