What’s it like explaining the U.S. Constitution?

We spend an inordinate amount of time discussing the constitutionality of each and every issue. What’s constitutional? What’s unconstitutional? Can anyone agree? Must it always be decided by the Supreme Court? And are they always right?

How do you teach constitutional law at a university? Professor Paul Bender of Arizona State University’s College of Law has experienced it all and comes to grips with the responsibility of answering the question, “What’s it like explaining the U.S. Constitution?”

As remarkable as the Founding Fathers were, they couldn’t foresee the future. That’s why there are amendments. But how does that work? Luckily, we have Prof. Paul Bender.
