What’s it like being a weather forecaster? Pretty thankless most of the time, it would seem. They are generally blamed for bad weather and never get credit for the good.
Dr. Randy Cerveny doesn’t have to put up with public opinion the way the television weather people do. He’s an academic…a President’s Professor in the Geography Department at Arizona State University. When he talks about the weather, it’s usually in terms of centuries, both past and future.
However, he does have fascinating opinions on this year’s icy winter in the East, drought in the desert Southwest and global warming all over the planet.
