With a population around 1.3 billion, China is the world’s second largest country and the United States’ biggest creditor. Leaders from each country have met recently to discuss our relations and best interests.
Sheldon Simon, a professor of international politics at Arizona State University, said the USA and China’s role in the world depends very much on how they get along. The economies of both nations rely heavily on one another, which has also led to a so-called hacking war between countries. At this time, there is no treaties set in place to end the hacking and Simon doesn’t believe there will be one soon.
