Faith in Humanity: Girl spends prom night with date in hospital

Prom night is a special event for any high school student. Many look forward to it all year.

After all, why wouldn’t they? Pretty much everyone remembers how they spent their prom, whether it was at the dance, a party, or a…hospital?

According to the Huffington Post, Kasey Rosen, a girl from Olney, Md., opted to skip the prom entirely to spend the night with her date, Josh Popkin, who was in the hospital with a collapsed lung.

Popkin had told Rosen to go to the prom without him, but she refused.

“We went through a lot together to get ready for the prom. I couldn’t have imagined going without him,” Rosen told CBS Baltimore, adding, “When I told him I was going to come to the hospital in my dress he said ‘I might actually pass out.’ It was cute.”

Popkin has surgery on his collapsed lung and is reportedly doing well.
