Deep, dark ocean looks like outer space in amazing video

The murky waters of the bottom of the ocean are more like outer space than we thought, as a new video highlights.
The Huffington Post explains how world-renowned freediver
Guillaume Néry and his filmmaker wife Julie Gautier used a strong rip current to make their point. Rip currents can be very dangerous and pose a serious threat to beachgoers, but Néry successfully uses the current to “orbit” around the ghostly ocean alien world.
Néry gets pushed around the barren, rocky landscape as if he were a satellite orbiting an alien planet. Néry — who is not using any breathing equipment — is surrounded only by a dark, lonely abyss.
Gautier also deliberately did not frame her shots, in order to capture “the illusion of a curved planet.”
