Man loses wife, dog within months, family surprises him with puppy

As an almost-married dog owner, the only thing I can think of worse than losing a pet is losing the love of my life.
For one gentleman, he lost both within four months.
Known as “Grandpa” in the subtitled video, the elderly man lost his wife of 63 years on July 26 after a “short, but intense disease,” and also saw his canine companion pass away.
According to his family on YouTube, his energy and even overall will to live was flagging, so his family decided to surprise him with a new puppy.
“Is it for me?” he asks earnestly through tears.
“You’re not alone anymore, Grandpa!” his relative replies.
It’s true what they say: To have a dog is to know love.
