‘The Lion King’ cast surprises NYC subway with live performance

It was probably a typical day for these New Yorkers, but on a NYC subway, you can expect the unexpected.

These passengers were treated to a live performance from the Broadway cast of “The Lion King.”

Nearly 30 cast members rode the subway while they were on break between performances.

They were dressed in everyday clothing, looking like your typical subway rider reading a book and listening to music.
Then suddenly, they raised their voices and delivered an a capella rendition of the song “Circle of Life.”

The video shows a pair of kids going wild, while one man on the other hand, slept through the entire performance.
