He may not have been stopping the Joker or saving Gotham, but Miles Scott, better known as Batkid, took to the mound at Tuesday’s game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants to throw out the first pitch.
Batkid became an Internet sensation last year, after a portion of downtown San Fran was turned into Gotham as part of a Make-A-Wish event for Miles, who had been battling leukemia. He battled both the Joker and the Riddler, saved a damsel in distress and received encouragement from the entire world, encouraging President Barack Obama.
We didn’t see the pitch, but given the heroics he’s already displayed, we bet Miles brought the heat.
Beware, criminals far and wide. Batkid awaits.
