Ladies, what’s the first thing you do if your water breaks?
Tweet about it, of course. Especially if you’re a Twitter employee.
Claire Diaz-Ortiz, a Twitter employee known as @Claire, sent tweets to her then-333,000 followers on April 5, the minute her water broke.
Currently googling: Did my water just break? #labor

She then sent 26 more tweets, ranging from updates on her contractions to her car even breaking down along the way.
Car now broken down. On side of road. Need taxi. #inlabor

She arrived safely, though, and in plenty of time to tweet about ice chips, listening to Dave Ramsey, Bethenny Frankel of “Real Housewives,” baby names and even her placenta (yuck!).
Where are my ice chips? #inlabor

Please stop asking what we are planning to name the baby. We don't know. And it's getting awkward. #inlabor
