She didn’t quite go all Howard Beale from the movie Network, but Russia Today anchor Liz Wahl had her own special way of airing out some displeasure.
Wahl, a Washington, D.C. correspondent for the network, was mad about working for a company that continued to endorse the actions of Vladimir Putin, and she simply wasn’t going to take it any more.
So, she quit on live television earlier this week.
In her final segment, Wahl told the audience simply that she couldn’t be “part of a network that whitewashes the actions of Putin. I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth, and that is why, after this newscast, I am resigning.”
