Wolf in Sochi hotel debunked as Jimmy Kimmel hoax

You know that video that’s been going around? The one that purportedly shows a wolf wandering the halls of a hotel in Sochi, Russia?

It’s fake.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the video was a hoax put together by U.S. Olympic luger Kate Hansen and late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel.

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel orchestrated a hoax with U.S. Olympic luger Kate Hansen, Inside Edition reports. The syndicated magazine got confirmation of the video foolery from Sandy Caligiore, a publicist for the United States Luge Association.

Hansen is expected to Skype with Kimmel to talk about the prank Thursday night.

The sad thing? With all the craziness that is the Sochi Games, pretty much everyone accepted the video as real without question, even if the “wolf” looked a lot more like a husky.
