“The Walking Dead” is setting all kinds of records for a cable TV show, but it is also quite the expert at viral marketing.
After all, anything using zombies is likely to garner just a bit of attention, especially in a public place. The show is scheduled to return Sunday night, and it’s no surprise it found a way to promote itself ahead of the big release.
Rather than putting up posters or billboards in New York City, AMC opted to go underground. As in a sewer grate. With zombies reaching out to grab anyone lucky (unlucky?) enough to walk by.
The reactions are priceless. I’m not entirely sure how I’d react, but it would likely have something to do with screaming like a 5-year-old girl.
