Photographer uses remote buggy to get close to lions

I’m pretty sure that no one has ever gotten this close to a lion.

Chris McLennan, a wildlife photographer working in Botswana, wanted a way to get as close as possible to a pride of lions. He asked his friend, Carl Hansen, to come up with an idea.

Hansen arrived at the “Car-L,” a remote-control buggy with a camera mounted on top.

McLennan used the buggy to drive up to the pride and took photos with a remote trigger. The lions take notice and not only approach the buggy, but play with it as well.

His shots were nothing short of breathtaking.
