You know, these people may want to leave cash next time.
According to WTVM.com, a community in Kansas is rallying around a server who was left an anti-gay message for a tip.
The note read:
“Thank you for your service, it was excellent. That being said, we cannot in good conscience tip you, for your homosexual lifestyle is an affront to GOD. (Homosexual slur) do not share in the wealth of GOD, and you will not share in ours,” the customer wrote. “We hope you will see the tip your (homosexual slur) choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly. It is never too late for GOD’s love, but none shall be spared for (homosexual slur). May GOD have mercy on you.”
According to KMBC.com, the message leaked out on Facebook. Since being discovered, residents have been heading to the Carrabba’s to offer the server their support and financial contributions.
The server has responded to the incident, saying “The offers to help pay me back are much appreciated, but not at all needed. I’d prefer to let my work ethic and my service do the talking, nothing else.”
A large group of customers is expected to head to the restaurant Friday in a show of support.
Carrabba’s has said it does not tolerate discrimination from customers or employees.
The people who left the tip have not been identified.
