A man in Tucson is pretty steamed that a 911 dispatcher laughed when he called in to report his girlfriend was on fire.
Lalo Delgado called the emergency number and after relaying the information, got an earful of snickering from an unidentified operator, plus others in the background.
Delgado was not amused. The operator did take the call seriously enough to send a crew, which arrived fairly promptly, according to reports.
KGUN-TV in Tucson said the Pima County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident, but as of early this week, there had been no disciplinary action. The operator has had no previous issues.
