Earlier this year, Chef Aaron May’s Over Easy called for customers to submit their own favorite breakfast recipes in a challenge that would eventually benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank.

Well, now it’s time to announce some finalists and get to raising some dough.

This Thursday night, Dec. 5 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., amateur chefs will battle for the title of Broken Egg Breakfast Challenge Winner in swanky showroom of Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchens in Scottsdale. You’re invited to watch the action in exchange for a simply donation of $25.

During the Grand Finale event, Chef May and his dad and Over Easy co-founder Brad May, will dish out breakfasty fare for attendees.

Over 200 people submitted competition recipes to Over Easy this year — not only because they think they’ve got the huevos to win, but because the prize is sweet: a dozen Hickman’s Eggs each week for a year, and their winning dish featured on the Over Easy menu for one year as well.

Maximum Strength Design
