There’s someone out there reading this who just realized Thanksgiving is Thursday. Someone with no plans, no nuthin’.
Well that doesn’t mean you’ve got no turkey because Sapporo’s given’ you the bird, Asian-style. While lots of multi-course, turkey dinner places are all booked up, Sapporo in Scottsdale is the perfect place to get your turkey fix, while getting your sushi fix, while also putting down a holiday martini or two.
Tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., check out their special Thanksgiving offerings:
East Meets West Sushi Roll
Prosciutto, pineapple, and asparagus, topped with spicy seared turkey breast, with tamari and pink peppercorn reduction sauce
Teppan Grilled Turkey Breast
With sticky rice, Chinese sausage “stuffing” with cashews, water chestnuts, smashed sweet potatoes, shitake, sherry and herb gravy
Orange-Miso Glazed Duck Breast
Kabocha squash and pork belly stuffing with roasted cranberry and ginger chutney
Ginger Pumpkin Cheesecake
With cinnamon gelato and candied ginger honey syrup
Pumpkin Pie Martini
In a glass is rimmed with graham cracker crumbs
In addition to the Thanksgiving nosh, regular ‘ole menu items will also be available.
Reservations are recommended because you never know how many people out there 1) didn’t make plans or 2) like the sound of turkey-topped sushi.
Have a great holiday!
