Police searching for suspect in aggravated assault case against officer

Police are searching for the suspect in an aggravated assault against an officer case.
On Monday, March 9 at around 7:49 p.m. the female officer was attempting to arrest the suspect for shoplifting from a Kohl’s store on 19th Avenue.
The suspect was in his vehicle with his door open and motor running. When the officer tried to remove the suspect from the vehicle, the suspect then accelerated rapidly, dragging the officer for several yards before she could free herself.
The suspect then fled the scene. He is described as a white male, 5-foot-8 and 155 pounds with brown hair, approximately 27 years old. He was wearing a tight-fitting white shirt, black warm-up pants with white stripes down the legs and has bushy hair with long sideburns.
