Silent Witness

April 28, 2014

There are some dangerous armed robbers among us. Our first case takes us to Seventh Avenue and Osborn on March 13, 2014.

“This is [8 p.m.] on a Thursday night in a very busy area when a suspect goes into a Basha’s store and does a very high-profile armed robbery,” said Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch.

The guy walked right up to the cash registers, passing by a security guard and pointed a gun at a cashier’s head.

“It shocked her and scared her so much that she was unable to open the register,” said Burch. “Another employee had to come over and open it for her, and while this was happening, people are coming up to the different cashier lines and he’s pointing the gun at them.”

Everyone got a good look at the man. They describe him as having scraggly teeth and white pigmentation spots on his face.

Next, an extremely violent armed robbery suspect who’s hit four times between March 2 and March 28, 2014.

“He’s hit a couple of Circle K stores along Indian school at 47th Avenue and 59th Avenue,” said Burch. “He’s also robbed people at bus stops and other locations using a taser.”

In two of the crimes he was wearing a Chicago Bulls NBA cap. He was seen fleeing three of the crimes in a newer, white, four-door sedan, possibly a Chevy Malibu or Toyota.
