Nov 28, 2016, 5:00 AM

Police hope you can help them catch a bank robber.

It was about 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, when the suspect entered the MidFirst Bank at Seventh Street and Thunderbird Road.

He approached the teller, demanded money and then took off on foot eastbound through the parking lot.

Phoenix Police Sgt. Darren Burch said the suspect was wearing a little bit of a disguise.

“Possible an ‘afro’ wig, so we don’t know what his actual hairstyle is,” he said.

The man was also wearing a long-sleeved white t-shirt with the letters “TSI” on the back.

Our next crime happened on Saturday, May 7, 2011.

“This is an armed robbery, but it really started out as a burglary of a home near 24th Street and Broadway (Road),” Burch said.

Just before 10:00 p.m., Thomas and Ariana Dove decided to take their dog for a walk. They closed their door but didn’t lock it.

When they got back, they found burglars inside their home.

The Doves were tied up while the burglars spent another half-hour looking for valuables. The suspects also stole the couple’s car, but it was later recovered.

After leaving the house, at least one suspect went to a nearby Circle K.

Burch said this is crime is a valuable lesson.

“You can never be too careful, even if you’re only gone for a few minutes,” he said. “Had they locked their door, they might never have been burglarized.”
