PHOENIX – The summer of 2010 was a rough one for the Arizona Republican Party.
The party’s headquarters at 24th Street and Osborne was vandalized, according to Phoenix police sergeant Darren Burch.
“There’s no obvious sign of theft,” Burch said. “None of the computers or laptops or anything like that were taken.”
Burch says the first one happened in July.
Burch described the most recent vandalism, which occurred on August 17.
“The suspect actually broke through the window, made entry and ransacked the building. (It’s) unknown whether anything was taken, but the other two incidents he broke a window and it’s unknown if he made entry.
It’s not clear if the same guy is responsible for all three incidents, but there are good surveillance pictures of the latest one.
This may be a case of random acts of vandalism or maybe it was politically motivated.
“There’s nothing that suggests it is, but at the same time, three times, always targeting and nothing taken,” Burch said.
