PHOENIX – Now that the weather is nice, you might start seeing a lot of yard sales around the Valley, but the Phoenix police are warning residents to be careful.
“We have a case unfortunately involving a 60-year-old male who was having an estate sale in his apartment when five suspects came in and not just robbed him, but beat him up severely to a point where he was hospitalized,” said Phoenix Police Sergeant Darren Burch. “They cut him. It was a really ugly, ugly-mean attack and taken money and property.”
He says it happened on Saturday, May 16, 2009, near Maryland Ave. and 10th Street.
“We are looking for five suspects,” said Burch. “Four of which were Hispanic males with various sizes and descriptions, but one of the suspects was a 35-year-old white female with reddish-blond hair.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at (480) WITNESS.
