Crayola Experience to open Thursday in Chandler Fashion Center

PHOENIX — The 20,000-square-foot Crayola Experience is set to open in Chandler Fashion Center on Thursday morning.

Filled with 19 hands-on activities, including making crayons and designing coloring pages, the attraction will be the fifth of its kind in the country.

There is also a 4,000-square-foot retail space inside, containing the world’s largest selection of Crayola products and souvenirs.

The attraction near Loop 101 and Chandler Boulevard was scheduled to open after a 9:45 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Crayola was expected to hire more than 100 employees to staff the activity center.

General admission tickets are available year-round and cost $14 online and $15 at the door per person. Children ages 2 and under are free.

Families can purchase annual passes for $35 per person. The passes include unlimited visits and discounts on merchandise, food, drinks and birthday party packages.
