Northbound Loop 101 in East Valley closes for rush-hour accident

PHOENIX – Northbound Loop 101 in the East Valley was closed during rush hour Thursday evening after a multi-vehicle crash, authorities said.
Traffic was closed at Ray Road after the accident, which involved a rollover, occurred around 5 p.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The interchange ramps from westbound Loop 202 to northbound Loop 101 were also closed.
Around 6:30 p.m., HOV, left and center lanes reopened.

Drivers were asked to delay travel or use alternate routes.
There was no estimated time for the freeway to reopen.
Southbound lanes were not affected.
