PHOENIX — Lost Our Home Pet Rescue in Tempe is desperately looking for people to foster animals during the shelter’s renovation.

All of the dogs and cats the shelter houses need to be out by May 5 so that construction can begin on May 6, according to a press release.

Lost Our Home is looking for short- and long-term foster homes ranging from 2 weeks to 90 days.

The pet shelter can cover the cost of supplies and medical needs, including kennels, food, bottles and beds, according to the release.

Although the shelter is located in Tempe near Broadway Road and Hardy Drive, it is welcoming foster homes from all over the Valley.

Those interested are urged to complete the dog or cat foster application on the shelter’s website.

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is also hosting a yard sale on Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to noon that will include pet supplies, office furniture and more.

The renovation will be adding a new medical room, improving safety and sanitation features, increasing capacity and enhancing overall comfort for the animals at the shelter.

Lost Our Home is a no-kill shelter that was founded in 2008 and houses 100 dogs and cats.

For more information about the shelter or the fostering process, visit its website.
