The B-52s’ self-titled debut album was released in 1979 and featured the classic danceable hit “Rock Lobster.”
The band from Athens, Georgia, had a string of hits through the ‘80s, including “Whammy Kiss,” “Summer of Love,” “Roam” and, of course, the ubiquitous 1989 smash “Love Shack.”
