PHOENIX — Ride-share company Uber announced Tuesday that it is expanding its Ride Pass program to the Phoenix area.
The program costs $25 per month and includes an up to 20 percent discount on UberX rides, free JUMP bike and scooter rides for up to 30 minutes per day and protected pricing.
Protected pricing means that even when Uber cars are in high demand and prices surge, Ride Pass customers will still pay the regular price.
Customers can buy the monthly pass through the Uber app and track how much it saves them.
Ride Pass has been available in several major U.S. cities since October, but on Tuesday it was expanded to 16 more, including Seattle, San Diego, Las Vegas and San Antonio.
“Whether it’s a daily commute or a night on the town, we want to give riders more ways and more confidence to get from A to B with consistent, dependable prices they can count on,” product manager Dan Bilen said in a press release.
“Ride Pass is another step toward making that vision a reality.”
