PHOENIX – Central Christian Church is taking over a vacant retail space in Tempe to open its sixth Valley location.
The church will move into a 17,200-square-foot space at the Royal Palms Plaza center located on Elliot Road and McClintock Drive.
The Valley-based church signed a ten-year lease and is expected to open in August 2019, according to a Phoenix Business Journal article.
Michael Pollack of Pollack Investments is the property’s landlord.
Pollack is not the first Valley landlord to sign a lease for a church in a retail center, according to the Phoenix Business Journal.
Other tenants at the Royal Palm Plaza include restaurants, salons, an automotive shop, an insurance agency and the Pollack Tempe Cinemas movie theater.
Central Christian Church is also located in Glendale, Mesa, Gilbert and Ahwatukee.
