PHOENIX — Glendale City Council unanimously approved a development agreement last month to allow Red Bull, Ball Corp. and Rauch Fruit Juices to begin building a new multimillion-dollar facility.
The city will waive $750,000 of development fees for the factory, distribution center and regional office as part of the agreement.
“We’re certainly excited to have this project announced,” Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Monday.
“It’s something we’ve been working on for the past six months with our team here in Glendale.”

Red Bull and Rauch, both based in Austria, and packaging manufacturer Ball Corp. are long-term partners, according to the release.
The 700,000-square-foot facility will be housed in the Woolf Logistics Industrial Campus located at Reems Road and Peoria Avenue.
The facility is expected to create 140 jobs and be fully operational by 2021.
“One thing we had to do was demonstrate that we could put a project team on our place that would give (the companies) their appropriate zoning, building permits, entitlements, roadway infrastructure improvements, etc., in a timely manner,” Phelps said.
“And I think that’s where our team really kind of shined. We were able to put together a very aggressive schedule that met their needs.”
