PHOENIX — Authorities in the West Valley arrested a 20-year-old man last week for allegedly shooting and killing a man in 2017.
Jeffrey Taylor of Memphis was arrested by Goodyear police on March 1 for the murder of David Amado. Amado, 21, was shot and killed near Goodyear Ballpark on May 29, 2017.
Taylor was also booked into Fourth Avenue Jail on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm and aggravated robbery.
Amado was killed at a park near Estrella and Lower Buckeye parkways.
After his death, police found two cellphones that had text messages relating to selling marijuana and $600 in cash in his car.
Phone records were used to link Taylor to the shooting, and other witnesses identified him as the person who shot Amado, according to ABC15.
