A Phoenix man woke up to a nightmare on April 5, 2017. It was just after 3 a.m. when Rogelio Pangan, 48, was woken up in a trailer near 32nd Street and Roosevelt in Phoenix.

“Several suspects showed up asking for the owner of the trailer,” says Phoenix Police Sgt. Jamie Rothschild.

Rogelio told the guys the owner wasn’t home.

“But they entered the trailer anyway,” says Rothschild, “and ended up ransacking it. One of the suspects came up with a firearm.”

And as they were leaving, one of the suspects turned and shot Rogelio, killing him.

Investigators don’t know what the men were looking for or why Rogelio was murdered.

Next is an outrageous case of road rage. It happened Nov. 9, 2018 just after 6 p.m. near 49th Avenue and Indian School Road.

Our victim, a young man, stopped quickly at a traffic light, forcing a pick-up truck behind him to stop quickly as well.

Sgt. Rothschild says, “The individuals in the suspect vehicle began flashing their lights and actually rammed into our victim’s vehicle. Our victim tried to get away but they followed him.”

The victim drove into a neighborhood and got out of his vehicle near a house. The suspects pulled up and threatened to fight him. Then one of them took out a gun and shot the young man.

He was hurt, but luckily wasn’t killed.

The pickup was a newer model white or silver GMC or Chevrolet 4-door with possibly a Utah or Texas plate, large rims, Cardinal seat covers and window visors on the side windows.
