Gilbert, Chandler ranked the hardest-working cities in Arizona

PHOENIX — Gilbert was rated the hardest-working city in Arizona, with Chandler a close second, according to a personal finance website.

Gilbert was No. 25 and Chandler No. 30 nationally in WalletHub’s 2019 list of the hardest-working cities in America.

WalletHub compared the 116 largest U.S. cities in ten key metrics in both direct and indirect work factors.

Gilbert rated No. 23 for direct work factors and No. 42 for indirect.

The Arizona cities following Gilbert and Chandler on the list were No. 40 Scottsdale, No. 58 Phoenix, No. 74 Glendale, No. 86 Mesa and No. 104 Tucson.

The hardest-working cities on the list were No. 1 Anchorage, Alaska, No. 2 San Francisco and No. 3 Irving, Texas.

The last-place spot on WalletHub’s list went to Detroit.
