PHOENIX — The Phoenix Cyber Center, a place where students can learn cyber literacy, cybersecurity and more, is planned to open in the spring.

Global education company Cybint Solutions will open the resource center in Skaled Sandbox, a downtown Phoenix makerspace that will also open in the spring, according to a press release.

The Phoenix Cyber Center will serve as “a regionwide hub and ecosystem for top-tier cyber education, public and private community resources, solutions and thought leadership,” according to the release.

The center will offer a wide array of classes for learners at all levels.

Cybint Solutions and Skaled Sandbox will be part of PHX Startup Week where, they will host a booth and lead a panel discussion.

Through a partnership with the Arizona Department of Veteran’s Services, the two companies will select three U.S. veterans who are pursuing cyber careers to receive educational scholarships.

“We’re excited at the opportunities we see in the start-up and entrepreneurial landscape, and our partnership with Skaled Sandbox,” Cybint Solutions CEO Roy Zur said in the release.

“There’s great awareness within this space of the need for cyber knowledge and expertise, and with Skaled Sandbox I believe we can make a difference, setting fledgling businesses up for success and continuing to further our mission of closing the skills gap in the cyber world.”

We want to hear from you.
