1 killed, 3 injured in hit-and-run crash in central Phoenix

PHOENIX — One person was killed and three more were seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in central Phoenix early Friday morning.
Sgt. Armando Carbajal with the Phoenix Police Department said 25-year-old Khadijha Taylor was killed in the accident that occurred at Seventh Avenue and Camelback Road around 2:30 a.m.
A white Mazda 6 sedan driving eastbound on Camelback struck Taylor, two other females, ages 29 and 31, and one 31-year-old man as they were crossing the roadway.
First responders found the pedestrians “down in various points of the roadway,” Capt. Rob McDade with the Phoenix Fire Department said in an email.
The other three pedestrians are in serious but stable condition.

Camelback was closed in both directions between 12th and Seventh avenues through the morning commute.
