It’s a Sunday afternoon, January 13th, 2019.
Families have gathered at West Plaza Park near 43rd Avenue and Maryland, north of Bethany Home.
Children were having fun playing with a dog that was loose. Two men began to provoke and torment the dog.
“Then one of them grabbed the dog by the collar,” says Phoenix Police Det. Mike Fischer, “while the other one went to his car and got a gun out of his vehicle. He walked back to the dog the guy was holding and shot it in the head.”
The men then left the park, and the dog did not survive its injuries.
Fischer said they could really use some help with this case: A name, a license plate, an address, etc. There were a lot of witnesses but so far, no one has come forward.

Next: “A homicide happened on Saturday, January 19th, 2019 just after 8:00 p.m. at the Vacation Inn at 24th Avenue and Thomas,” says Fischer.
A man arrived at the motel and started harassing his ex-girlfriend and her friend with a large butcher knife.
Fischer says he was threatening the women.
That’s when another man intervened, distracting the guy with the knife while the two woman ran away.
That man then shot the ex-boyfriend and took off. Police really want to talk to him about what happened. They also would like to talk to anyone who witnessed what happened.
