PHOENIX — If you are looking for a romantic place to eat on Valentine’s Day, you may be out of luck for this year, but it’s not too late to plan for 2020.
Open Table compiled 100 of the most romantic restaurants across the nation, and three Arizona restaurants made the list.
The list included two Phoenix-area restaurants — Cafe Monarch and Lon’s at the Hermosa — and Vivace in Tuscon.
Although these restaurants are all booked up for this year’s Valentine’s Day, you might have better luck next year if you plan ahead — these places fill up for two to three months in advance.
At Lon’s, Valentine’s Day reservations start as early as November, according to an employee from the restaurant.
Lon’s at the Hermosa is “an authentic Arizona hacienda” located in Paradise Valley.
Its menu features Western-inspired American fare, with entrees ranging from $31 to $50.
With a spacious patio and a backdrop of Camelback Mountain, this restaurant has the ambiance for a romantic dinner.
For those looking for fine dining, turn to Cafe Monarch in Old Town Scottsdale.
The four-course menu is altered weekly to feature local, premium ingredients.
All of its servers are trained through the Court of Master Sommeliers program, according to Open Table.
Cafe Monarch features a special Valentine’s Day dinner that is $175 per person.
