PHOENIX — A nude man who allegedly assaulted an officer and was shocked with a stun gun by police has died, Phoenix police said Sunday.
Police said they responded to an indecent exposure call on Feb. 4 around 2 p.m. and found Casey Wells, 40, wearing no clothes and “acting erratically” in a street near 35th Avenue and Deer Valley Road.
Police said the suspect engaged in a physical altercation and assaulted an officer, leading an officer to use his Taser on Wells.
Wells was taken to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
Police announced Wells’ death Sunday and said a medical examiner will determine a cause of death.
