Silver Alert canceled for a missing man from Chandler

A Silver Alert has been canceled after a missing elderly man from Chandler was located by police.

Raul Vega, 78, was found in good health on Interstate 17 at milepost 326, according to authorities.

Vega was last seen on Friday around 4:30 p.m.

Police said a citizen, who had seen the Arizona Department of Transportation message board about the Silver Alert, located Vega on the Valley freeway.

Department of Public Safety officers were able to stop and verify that it was in fact Vega.

His family was notified on his whereabouts.
