Silver Alert canceled for Scottsdale woman last seen going to dentist

PHOENIX — A Silver Alert was canceled Thursday for a missing 79-year-old woman who was last seen leaving her Scottsdale home the day before for a dentist appointment.
Scottsdale Police said Sondra Engstrom was located 100 miles north of the Valley and has been reunited with her family in good health.
She had last been seen by her family leaving her north Scottsdale home near Loop 101 and Cave Creek Road on Wednesday.
Scottsdale police spokesman Kevin Watts said in an email that she drove away in a blue 2008 four-door Lexus with an Arizona plate 354VRM.
Engstrom was seen around 8 a.m. Thursday morning at a Circle K gas station in the in the area of 21st and Northern avenues in Phoenix, when someone helped her put gas in her car.
The witness told police that she seemed confused, Watts added. Engstrom also attempted to use her credit card throughout the Valley overnight.
She was described as a 5-foot-4 woman with short, gray hair, green eyes and was wearing glasses.
Engstrom was last seen wearing black pants, a gold button-up shirt, a dark-colored jacket and dark shoes. She suffers from memory loss.
