Teen who allegedly stabbed and killed aunt in Sun Lakes charged as adult

PHOENIX — A 14-year-old who allegedly killed his aunt in an East Valley retirement community over the weekend is being charged as an adult.
According to court documents, the teen used a knife to kill his 42-year-old aunt, later identified as Tonya Harper.
The documents say Harper died from stabbing injuries to her neck.
No further information about the woman’s death was immediately available.
Sun Lakes is a development southwest of Chandler made up of five adult country club communities.
