PHOENIX – The sprawling Tempe Marketplace will welcome a diverse trio of new businesses in 2019 – a mattress store, a chiropractic clinic and a youth-oriented discount retailer.
The shopping and entertainment destination near the Loop 101 and 202 interchange announced Tuesday that Brooklyn Bedding, The Joint and Five Below will be joining its roster of more than 100 retailers and restaurants.
Brooklyn Bedding is planning to open a showroom for its bed-in-a-box mattresses and accessories near the Men’s Wearhouse this spring. The Phoenix-based company, which was built on internet orders, has more than a dozen existing Valley showrooms.
In the summer, The Joint, a membership-based chiropractic service, will be debut in the same area of the Tempe Marketplace, south of the section known as The District. The clinic currently has nine Valley locations.
Five Below will join the fray later in the year near the Cost Plus World Market on the southwest corner of the marketplace. The retailer offers tech gadgets, candy, beauty kits and a wide variety of other items from brands such as Disney, Nickelodeon, Lego and Pez, with nothing priced at more than $5.
According to the Five Below website, the Tempe Marketplace store will be one of seven metro Phoenix locations it opens this year.
